Melissa is a French-American designer specializing in Fashion, Knitwear and Material Innovation. From garment creation to production, she matches originality and artisanship with functionality and sustainability — pushing classic techniques to create new and creative solutions.
Since graduating with a first class honours degree in Fashion Design from Edinburgh College of Art, Melissa has worked with designers such as Julian Macdonald and AMAUD to create fully fashioned knitwear and woven designs for both Runway and Ready to Wear collections.
Winner of the Womenswear and Innovative Textiles for Catwalk Awards, and the David Band Textiles Award from Graduate Fashion Week in London, as well as a recent finalist of the Redress Design Award in Hong Kong, Melissa continues to be recognized for her thoughtful and sophisticated designs.
Melissa is currently freelancing in France. She believes that intelligent design begins with innovative processes and persistant curiosity.
Melissa is proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, and has yet to meet a knitting machine she didn’t like. Her work has been featured in Vogue, Knitting Industry, Fashion Capital, Fashion United, The Guardian, and most recently had her designs shown in Amsterdam at the Fashion For Good Museum.
